ANNA NICOLE SMITH's jailed half-brother has exposed a terrible family secret - his youngest sibling was once shot in the head by his mum VIRGIE ARTHUR's gun. Larry Dale Hart, who is serving time in a Texas prison for aggravated and sexual assault, has revealed his younger brother Donny was accidentally shot when he was just three. Speaking exclusively on U.S. TV news show Insider last night (24May07), Hart recalled how his brother was left with a severe head wound after a gun in his mother's purse went off by mistake as he played with it. Arthur, a former police officer, ordered all her kids to get into her car and she dashed Donny to hospital, where, according to Hart, she went into shock. He adds, "They had to give her some kind of tranquillizers... She never talked about it after that." Arthur hit the headlines after her daughter's tragic death in February when she challenged burial rights and then custody for Smith's daughter.
Britney Spears was spotted in her bikini on a yacht at Marina del Rey yesterday. Which would've produced boners seven years ago, but now sounds like some sort of threat. And it's hard to tell for sure, but judging from these three pictures it looks like she forgot to shave her armpits. 'Forgot' implying that she usually does. Who knows these days. In a message to her fans on her personal site, Jessica Simpson says she was inspired by Michelangelo and is on a path of self discovery. She writes: Hey everyone. I hope you are all doing well! I am getting ready to start MAJOR MOVIE STAR and I am so excited! I just got back from spending some time in Europe, and while I was there I visited many museums, and have been reading about different artists. I have also been writing a lot in my journal recently. I was reading a book about Michelangelo and there were 2 quotes that caught my attention - "I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free." Michelangelo ^(3)Each time we face our fear, we gain strength, courage, and confidence in the doing.^(2) These quotes inspired me to write the below passage. I hope you can find your own individual meaning in it, as I keep coming back to it and find new strength. "Sometimes we are all so afraid to be honest with ourselves because we know that honesty will lead us somewhere off the path of the life we've mapped out in our minds. The National Enquirer is claiming that Britney Spears and Ryan Phillippe hooked up in a bathroom at Les Deux last week. A source told the magazine that Ryan stopped by Britney's table and "Britney had her arms around him." She then allegedly followed Phillippe into the men's room and, after getting worried, her bodyguards are said to have "busted in the door and found Britney and Ryan groping and kissing." I want to believe this is true, but I have serious problems believing Ryan Phillippe would make out with Britney Spears. Housetraining maybe, but not making out. After Simpson attended the Cannes Film Festival solo earlier this week (beg14May07), rumours were rife that the couple's nine-month romance had cooled. And now US news show Extra is reporting the split is official. Simpson, 26, and Mayer, 29, spent months refusing to talk about romance rumours but confirmed they were an item during a romantic March (07) break in Rome, Italy, where they kissed and held hands. SIMPSON has been forced to drop a lawsuit against a restaurant owner who threw him out because he disapproved of his conduct following the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her companion Ron Goldman. Restaurant boss Jeff Ruby asked the American football legend to leave Joe Ruby's Steakhouse in Louisville, Kentucky earlier this month (May07). This week (begs07May07), Simpson's attorney Yale Galanter said he believed his client's eviction was racially motivated. However, during an interview on The Big Show With Steve Mason & John Ireland on ESPN Radio last Thursday (10May07) night, Ruby said, "I got a phone call from the Goldman lawyers, and he's not going to be able to do this lawsuit anyway, because they've already taken preemptive action in case there is a claim." In 1995, Simpson was acquitted of the murders of his former wife and Goldman. In 1997, he was found liable for their deaths in a civil court - he still owes the majority of the $33.5 million (£16.75 million) he was ordered to pay.
50 Cent: 'Rap Lyrics Reflect Harsh Realities Of Life'.... 50 Cent is refusing to give in to critics calling for rappers to clean up their lyrics, insisting expletives used in the music are simply reflective of the "harsh realities" of life. Hip-hop stars have come under attack for their regular use of words like 'n**ger', 'ho' and 'bitch', particularly after the Don Imus controversy last month (Apr07), where the American DJ referred to a female basketball team as "nappy headed hoes". But 50 - real name Curtis Jackson - has vowed never to bow to the pressure of critics, because they can't relate to the hardship most rappers have had to deal with in their youths. He says, "Music is a mirror, and hip-hop is a reflection of the environment that we grew up in. It's the harsh realities that end up in the music. "If I ask you to paint a picture of the American flag and not use the colour red, you're gonna have a difficult time. "To capture what we try to capture in the art form, I'm sure some conservative Americans can't (identify) with it because of their lifestyle and the way they've actually been brought up, and they haven't been exposed to those realities." Scarlett Johansson is to play Mary Queen of Scots. The actress will take on the role of the tragic monarch in the movie co-produced by her mother, Melanie. The film, entitled 'Mary Queen of Scots', will centre around Mary, who become a monarch aged two, a wife at 15, was widowed at 17 before being beheaded at 44 after spending years in jail.Peter Curran will direct the project, while Jimmy McGovern penned the script. Last month, it was revealed Scarlett is insisting on a no-nudity clause in all her movie contracts.The curvaceous 22-year-old is determined to be seen as a serious actress and won't commit to a role without the clause. A source said: "Scarlett is still very young and is aware the roles she takes are going to set out where her career as an actress takes her in the future. I’m not sure why Nicole Richie is famous. I know who her father is, and I know that she does nothing and wrote a shitty book about her life (and she’s not even 30.. what is that all about?!), but none of that leads up to fame. At least when she was thick and friends with Paris Hilton back in the 2001’s to 2003’s she was famous for doing drugs and being in trouble with the law. Not saying that’s a good thing, but that’s better than being known as an anorexic mooch with a bad work ethic. And now reports are surfacing that she is a little bit of a diva, telling producers on the set of The Simple Life that they only have her for an hour. Ha. During the shoot, we’re told Nicole constantly showed up late, and upon swanning in would impose a deadline on producers, saying “You’ve got me for an hour or two.” Our sources also say that Richie upped her unreasonable behavior to another level during the final shoot of the season, when the all-important “show open” was being taped. Nicole turned up “several hours late” with boyfriend Joel Madden, and then gave producers another impossible deadline. After being strung along by Lindsay Lohan and Ashlee Simpson, it appears Britney is next in line for Ryan Phillipe - who has been shacking up with the worst of 3am drunks since splitting with Reese Witherspoon. On Tuesday the pair were getting close while partying at Hollywood’s Les Deux nightclub. "Britney hung out with her friends and her security guard in the VIP area of the club," reported X17.com "She looked really happy. Ryan was there too and they left within two minutes of each other at 3am." Apparently the pair were dancing away for much of the night, but it’s the leaving within 2 minutes of each other routine that screams sexcapade. It’s so, so obvious. Robert Baker of North Hollywood's Millennium Dance Complex, which Britney has been visiting frequently, said: "She's got an amazing metabolism. When she puts her mind to it, she can transform pretty easily." Britney put her musical career on hold, and began piling on the pounds, after she gave birth to 19-month-old Sean Preston. Soon after having Sean her first child, she quickly fell pregnant again with seven-month-old Jayden James, her second baby with estranged husband Kevin Federline. Britney checked into Promises rehab centre after months of partying, which culminated in her shaving off her hair, and she is now focusing on getting her life and career back on track.

Church Laughs Off Wedding Rumours. Welsh singer CHARLOTTE CHURCH has laughed off reports she is planning to wed before giving birth in September (07), insisting she doesn't want to be a pregnant bride.The chat show host and her boyfriend of two years, Gavin Henson, were rumoured to be rushing down the aisle before the tot's arrival. However, Church's mother Maria tells British magazine Reveal, "I can assure everyone that Charlotte and Gavin are not getting married before the baby comes. "Charlotte certainly won't walk down the aisle a pregnant bride. This is 2007, not 1807. "And if she ever decided to sneak off and get married without us, me and Gav's mum and dad would kill the both."

The Mexican actress insists she still believes in God and Jesus Christ, but she'll always have big problems with the Bible. In an interview for women's magazine Marie Claire, which the Frida star conducted before announcing her pregnancy, she explains, "I don't like the way the Bible views women - this thing about the Virgin Mary conceiving a child without having sex - so if you conceive a child by having sex, there's a subliminal message that there's something dirty about it. Anna Nicole Smith's last ever film is to receive its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. 'Illegal Aliens' was originally intended to be released in April but her untimely death and the subsequent legal battles surrounding her burial place and the paternity of her daughter Dannielynn pushed the date back to next month. The movie will now be shown at the world famous movie event shortly after it is released on DVD on May 1 in the US. It is being screened "out of competition", meaning it won't be eligible faor any of the festival's prizes. In the film, Anna Nicole plays one of three extra-terrestrials who can "morph into super-hot babes and arrive to protect the earth from the intergalactic forces of evil". Anna Nicole died of an accidental drugs overdose aged just 39 after being found unconscious in a Florida hotel room on February 8.
Paris/Nicole Birthday Call Ended Feud.... A birthday call from Paris Hilton to Nicole Richie ended the Simple Life star's long-running feud. The socialites, now best friends again, fell out under mysterious circumstances in 2005. Insiders claim the friendship turned sour when Richie screened Hilton's One Night In Paris sex tape at a party. Both have refused to reveal the details of their split, but Hilton has come forward with information about the phonecall she made to end the hostility last September (06). She says, "It was Nicole's birthday and I really missed her and I just decided to pick up the phone and call her." Speaking to US news show Extra, Richie adds, "We just got together that night and it was like there was never anything that happened. "It was weird, like we had seen each other yesterday."
The rapper - real name Calvin Broadus - was charged on Tuesday (10.04.07) with the sale or transportation of marijuana and possession of a gun by a convicted felon. If convicted he could be sentenced to jail time. Snoop's attorney, Donald Etra, said: "These are the charges that were fully expected, and they will be dealt with in court." The 35-year-old rapper was arrested at California's Burbank airport last October, after police found a handgun and marijuana in his car. Another gun was found in his Los Angeles home last November following a police search. The 'Drop It Like It's Hot' star is forbidden from ever owning a gun, following his conviction for possession of drugs for sale in 1990. Snoop has been in trouble with the law on several occasions in the last year. Last September, he tried to board a plane in California while carrying a 20-inch collapsible baton in a computer bag. The rapper-and-actor claimed the baton was a movie prop, not a weapon. In March, Snoop was questioned by Stockholm police for suspected narcotics use. The UK leg of his tour with P Diddy was cancelled last month after he was denied entry into Britain, following a brawl in London's Heathrow airport last year. Snoop's arraignment has been set for today (11.04.07).

The singer, who checked into Malibu's Promises rehab centre in February, jokingly revealed her new album has proven so stressful she is considering a new career. When Britney was asked when fans could hear her new LP, she smiled and replied: "I think I might be quitting!" The 'Toxic' singer, who is set to work with top producer Timbaland on her music comeback, was seen at the Millennium Dance Studio in North Hollywood undergoing a gruelling two-hour dance rehearsal yesterday (11.04.07). Justin, who dated Britney for four years before they split in 2002, was so concerned about Britney checking into rehab he contacted her. He said: "I called her because I am worried about her. She is a great woman. I'm rooting for her. It seems like she is getting everything under control now."
An empty energy drink bottle found in the back of Paris Hilton’s car is to be auctioned off on eBay, a website that provides free online auctions. The price has been pushed up to $103.50 (Rs 4,434) after seven people bid for it, reports pagesix.com. The seller said, “You, too, can say you were with Paris Hilton and her friends. I got this from my boss, whose son does club-promoting in Miami. He was at the club when Hilton and all her friends came in and this was the beverage of choice.” The bottle label says it is imported from Austria and is sugar-free.Hilton has been in the news lately for her suddenly enhanced bust, igniting rumours that she has under the knife for a boob job. Pamela Anderson has again fuelled speculation she has reunited romantically with her ex-husband Tommy Lee after posting a cryptic message on her website suggesting she doesn't want another man in her life. The Motley Crue rocker moved in with Anderson and the couple's two sons last month (Mar07) while renovation work was carried out on his own home, and now the family have been spotted vacationing together in Hawaii. And in her latest website message to fans, Anderson writes, "I have faith that we are headed in the right direction. I'm really not interested in bringing any other men into our lives." Earlier this year (07), Anderson revealed she and her ex were sleeping together again in an interview with Black Book magazine. She later insisted she was joking. Celebrity Fame Academy winner Tara Palmer-Tomkinson has accused her former agent of secretly siphoning off £300,000 of her money. The 35-year-old socialite has issued the six figure writ against M&M Management, run by her publicist of ten years, Martine Montgomery, at London's High Court. Miss Palmer-Tomkinson, who parted company with the agency in June 2005, has accused Miss Montgomery of failing to hand over money earned from her work in the entertainment industry. Tara Palmer-Tomkinson is suing Martine Montgomery and her agency M & M Management, accusing her of failing to hand over money she has received from her work in the entertainment industry As well as claiming damages for breach of duty, she is seeking a declaration of all the money left outstanding - except for amounts lawfully deducted - and an order for payment of all sums found due. The troubled 'IT' girl, who has admitted to a previous addiction to cocaine, is also seeking an order for all proper accounts, inquiries and directions. Friends of the British socialite claimed that the writ had put an "unbelievable strain" on Miss Palmer-Tomkinson - and was to blame for her recent erratic behaviour on the BBC's Celebrity Fame Academy. "It has been an unbelievably stressful past few months for Tara and it has now all come to a head," said a source close to the reality TV star. "Remember she is not suing any old anonymous company, but someone she was once incredibly close to. "It is little wonder that Tara's behaviour might have been a little 'off' recently. Rocker Bryan Ferry's son Isaac has been questioned by police after a photographer claimed the 21-year-old shot at him with a pistol outside a London nightclub yesterday (5APR07). Ferry's actress friend SIENNA MILLER was among party-goers evacuated from the Cuckoo Club in the early hours of the morning, after reports of a shooting.But Ferry insists he flicked a photographer on the back of the head after he barged into him while he queued outside the club. He claims the snapper believed he had been shot, because he had a gun-shaped cigarette lighter in his possession at the time. He says, "This gentleman assaulted me and when he turned his back, I flicked him as hard as I could on the back of the head with my index finger. "Somehow that turned into some story about a gun-toting riot with a loud bang." A police spokesperson has confirmed no arrests were made after the incident.
