While Paris Hilton faces a jail term, her best pal Nicole Richie is rumoured to be getting engaged to Joel Madden.
The Simple Life star and the Good Charlotte frontman visited Los Angeles jewellery store XIV Karats on February 19.
Nicole, 25, tried on several ruby necklaces before buying one for half-price at $3,350. The couple then looked at the engagement rings, which were also in the sale.
An employee told Life and Style Weekly magazine: “Of course he would never get her a half-price ring.
“You can tell they’re crazy about each other. His arm was around her the entire time."
